About Denis Foundation
Denis Preka Foundation: Honoring Friendship. Inspiring Connection. Changing Lives — One Campus at a Time. The Denis Preka Foundation (AmeriGive INC) was created in memory of Denis Preka, a compassionate and extraordinary young man whose life ended in a tragic way — not at the hands of an enemy, but because of betrayal by someone he considered a friend. Denis was the kind of person who would give everything for the people he loved. He listened deeply, cared wholeheartedly, and lifted up anyone who crossed his path.Denis believed in true friendship — the kind built on loyalty, compassion, kindness, and courage. He believed that one act of support could change a person’s entire life.Denis believed no one should ever feel alone. Today, we carry forward his heart, his dream, and his spirit. The Denis Preka Foundation purpose to transform campuses across the country by creating spaces where friendship, connection, mental health, belonging, and kindness are not just encouraged — but lived every day.Our mission is clear: To build stronger, kinder, more connected college communities across the country by teaching the true meaning of friendship. Because Denis lived it. Because students today need it. Because lives can be changed — and saved — through genuine connection.Denis grew up with a heart that saw good in everyone. He welcomed people without judgment, supported them through their struggles, and believed every person deserved a real friend. In college, he dreamed of creating a nonprofit that would help young people travel, serve, and connect with the world. He wanted to bring people together. He wanted to inspire unity and compassion. He wanted to change lives.Though Denis’s life was cut short, his vision continues — through the programs built in his name, by the people who love him, and by every student whose life is touched by his legacy.
